The biomarker research interest of our group focuses mainly on biomarkers of chronic inflammation and neurodegeration in MS. We are primarily interested in soluble protein biomarkers from cerebrospinal fluid. We investigate prognostic biomarkers, but also diagnostic and treatment response biomarkers, but we are also identifying biomarkers for disease classification than could aid in personalized treatment.
Except for MS, we are also interested in prognostic biomarkers in NMOSD, MOGAD and autoimmune encephalitis. Our group is also involved in biomarker research in inflammatory neuropathies and other neurodegenerative diseases in CNS.
