Our lab is focused on the application of biomarkers to understand the pathophysiology of neuroimmunological conditions with a special interest in multiple sclerosis (MS). Our goal is to unravel the mechanisms driving the disease progression, move beyond the limited clinical phenotyping, and establish new treatment outcome parameters in people with MS. Our bench-to-bedside approach includes novel biomarker discovery, assay establishment, validation, and utilization in the clinical setting leveraging samples from unique deeply-phenotyped longitudinal observational cohorts as well as clinical trials.
